The Jump Rhythm Technique approach to tap dance teaches full-bodied rhythm-making, or "tap-dancing through the whole body" - producing rhythmically precise foot-taps accompanied by Jump Rhythm's four primary "drumbeaters" -- the hands, head, and scat-singing voice. It also introduces the idea of dancing while standing down straight - moving over a relaxed, grounded base of support that allows the tap dancer to explode high-energy accents through the body injury-free.
